The daily podcasts from MyDailyPhrase German are free. Even "subscribing" in iTunes is free of charge. However, to get full benefit from your experience with MyDailyPhrase German you can choose to become a Premium Member. We publish a range of materials which will help you to get the most out of the programme. Read on to find out more about what's included.

What's included?

With our daily podcasts you'll learn to speak German, but no information is given about the written language. We've developed an enhanced version of each podcast, allowing you to view the words and phrases as they are said right on the screen of your iPod or through iTunes or QuickTime on your computer. Visualising how a word is written is only half-learning a language: with our enhanced podcasts you'll see exactly how each word is written in German. Download a sample 1 or sample 2. Note that these files are m4a (aac) files. They will play on all Macs and PCs and are created especially for use with iTunes, iPods and QuickTime.

The second element of our Premium Feed is the Review Podcast which will be published each weekend. This will be a longer podcast (10-15 minutes) which will test you on your knowledge of the language you've covered during the week, and will offer further insights into how the words and phrases you've learned are used. You'll be encouraged to practise the language by interacting with the speaker on the podcast. You can download a sample of the review podcast here.

Sometimes it's useful just to have the words written down in a traditional list! MyDailyPhrase German provides a weekly vocabulary list. See a sample for week 1 here.

You'll also gain access to our "Members only" area of the site. We'll be posting links to all our Members only content in this area and you'll be able to download bonus items including quizzes, iPod learning guides and additional sound files.

How much does it cost?

Becoming a Premium Member of MyDailyPhrase involves a one-off payment of £25 GBP (approximately $48 USD). For this you will gain access to the 100 enhanced podcasts which are published daily along with the podcast. You will also receive the weekly review podcast automatically. Any additional materials will appear in the Members Only area of the site.

Your one-off payment allows you access to all the data on this site for the duration of the course. During your Membership period you can download items as often as you wish. We realise that not everyone will come to MyDailyPhrase German at the start of the course (February 2007), or indeed while the course is "live". It doesn't matter when you begin the course: we'll give you access to all the content, allowing you to download the programme and work on it on a daily basis.

All subscriptions are managed through Paypal, known throughout the world for secure online payments.
